Max Jones Inks Three-Year ELC

Today the Anaheim Ducks announced that Max Jones signed a three-year entry-level contract. According to CapFriendly.com, the contract is worth $925,000 NHL / $70,000 AHL for each year. For all the transactions this summer please visit: Ducks Transaction Tracker: Summer 2016
Jones won the Memorial Cup and Ontario Hockey League championships in 2016 with playing with the London Knights. In the playoffs he recorded one goal and one assists for two points with 23 penalty minutes (PIM) in six playoff games. During the 2015-16 OHL season, Jones recorded 52 total points (28 goals + 24 assists) with a +30 rating in 63 games with London. He was a finalist for the OHL Rookie of the Year award after being tied for second among league in goals scored by a rookie.
In the 2016 NHL draft, Jones was selected in the first round, 24th overall. It will be interesting to see if Jones returns to London next season or tries to make the San Diego Gulls roster. Below is an interview with Jones where he discusses his future with the Anaheim organization and more!
