Murray: Just Say No To Rentals
By Michael Walters
The Anaheim Ducks General Manager Bob Murray isn’t interested in trading for rental players come this NHL trade deadline. Murray’s phone has started to ring and he has plenty of depth on a young blueline to make a move. The Ducks have six defensemen who are 25 or under: Cam Fowler, Sami Vatanen, Josh Manson, Hampus Lindholm, Brandon Montour, and Shea Theodore.
On this show, we talk about who the Ducks may trade from their blueline. Murray could trade Vatanen in order to bring in a long-term forward instead of a rental. Montour and Theodore could also be options as Murray has received phone calls on both. With the expansion draft coming in the future,  Murray could also trade Manson in order to avoid losing him in the draft for nothing.
We explore all these options on this podcast. We also cover the new forward line combinations, how Anaheim can improve in the final months of the season, and their chances in the postseason.
