Q&A With Bob Murray; Kesler Update
By Michael Walters
Today was the annual Select-A-Seat event at Honda Center where season ticket holders have the opportunity to upgrade their seats. Throughout the day there was a Q & A session with Ducks General Manager Bob Murray. Here are some of the topics he covered:
Expansion Draft
Murray didn’t disclose which option he would choose. He was asked if the Ducks would lose Jakob Silfverberg and/or Josh Manson in the expansion draft and Murray was pretty adamant that he would keep both players. Murray would not elaborate further on who he would protect in the upcoming expansion draft.
Roster ConsiderationsÂ
Murray stated he is again looking to add a top scorer to the lineup. It sounds like keeping Patrick Eaves might be too much of a financial challenge for Anaheim.
Kesler Update
Murray said that Ryan Kesler had hip surgery a few days ago. Kesler is expected to be ready to go at the start of next season.
