Game 18: Ducks Look To Bounce Back Against Bruins
By Michael Walters
The Anaheim Ducks(7-7-3) continue their homestand against the Boson Bruins(6-6-4). The game starts at 7:00 PM PT and will be on Prime Ticket locally and AM 830.
Anaheim Outlook:
The Ducks continue to look to get healthy. Ondrej Kase did not skate with the team yesterday. He is still on injured reserve but did an off-ice work. Ryan Miller skated alone and could be ready in a few days. Cam Fowler could start skating by the end of the week. Ryan Kesler is still not due to be back until mid-December at the earliest.
Keys To The Game
The Ducks will look to continue playing without their big guns. If the Ducks can score on the power play and get secondary scoring then they have a good chance to earn two points tonight. They do need to tightened things up defensively as they give up the third most shots against averaging 34.5 shot against per game.
Anaheim’s Projected Lineup:
Offense
Rickard Rakell – Derek Grant – Corey Perry
Andrew Cogliano – Chris Wagner – Jakob Silfverberg
Dennis Rasmussen – Antoine Vermette – Logan Shaw
Nick Ritchie – Kalle Kossila – Kevin Roy
Defense
Hampus Lindholm – Josh Manson
Francois Beauchemin– Brandon Montour
Sami Vatanen – Kevin Bieksa
In Net
John Gibson 5-6-1, GAA 2.90, SV% .917 (Unconfirmed)
Boston Outlook:
The Bruins are playing 500 hockey like the Ducks. Both Brad Marchand and Anders Bjork will not play tonight as they were injured in Sunday’s game against Toronto. As a result, Peter Cehlarik and Kenny Agostino were recalled from Providence. David Krejci has missed 10 games with a back issue and is a game-time decision tonight. David Pastrnak leads the team with 10 goals.
Keys To The Game
Boston ranks 9th in power play efficiency at 22.0% and 4th in penalty kill at 85.7%. They give up more than three goals a game with an average goals against of 3.13. They will look to shine during special teams play and try to keep Anaheim to scoring two goals or less.
Boston’s Projected Lineup:
Offense
Peter Cehlarik – Patrice Bergeron – David Pastrnak
Danton Heinen – Jordan Szwarz – Noel Acciari
Tim Schaller – Riley Nash – Kenny Agostino
Matt Beleskey – Sean Kuraly – Frank Vatrano
Defense
Zdeno Chara – Charlie McAvoy
Torey Krug – Brandon Carlo
Rob O’Gara – Kevan Miller
In Net
Tuukka Rask, 3-6-2, GAA 2.79, SV% .901 (Unconfirmed)
