What Can Brown Do For You?
By Philip Wunderlich
As many of you know I am also a Bolts fan so this is only suiting that I am the one that writes this article. Anaheim was clearly looking for scoring depth as well as some grit this morning as they acquired J.T. Brown from the Tampa Bay Lightning, someone who my opinion is going to fit perfectly in our system.
J.T. Brown used to be a sniper while he was playing for the University of Minnesota Duluth, however since Tampa needed much more of a grinder role he switched gears and became an instigating pest of a forward. A forward that doesn’t mind getting in the front of the net or getting in the face of an opponent. This season JT only has 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) however has been benched for several games this season. His only goal actually came earlier this season when he faced who? You guessed it…our Anaheim Ducks.
Logan Shaw was put on waivers also this morning to make room for this move. He currently has 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists). If he clears waivers he will be sent down to San Diego to join the Gulls.
