Game 62: Ducks Look To Extend Their Win Streak

By Michael Walters

The Anaheim Ducks(30-20-11) return home to face the Dallas Stars (34-21-4). The game starts at 7:00 PM PT and will be on Prime Ticket locally and AM 830.

Anaheim Outlook:

The Ducks are coming off an impressive 2-0 shutout win over the Vegas Golden Knights. It’s the first time Anaheim beat Vegas in four attempts this season. The victory did come with a price as John Gibson had to leave the game after the second period. He did not practice yesterday and the Ducks recalled Reto Berra today so Ryan Miller will start tonight. Gibson is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Keys To The Game

The Ducks are on a three-game winning streak beating key opponents like Minnesota and Vegas. Anaheim will face another team in the playoff race tonight. The Ducks will need another strong defensive effort against a Stars team that averages almost three goals a game. The Ducks are also going to need to concentrate on creating good scoring chances with Ben Bishop in net for Dallas tonight.

Anaheim’s Projected Lineup:

Offense
Rickard Rakell – Ryan Getzlaf – Corey Perry
Andrew CoglianoRyan Kesler – Jakob Silfverberg
Nick Ritchie – Adam Henrique – Ondrej Kase
Chris Wagner – Antoine Vermette – J.T. Brown

Defense
Cam Fowler  – Brandon Montour
Francois Beauchemin – Hampus Lindholm
Kevin Bieksa – Josh Manson

In Net
Ryan Miller, 7-4-5, GAA 2.63, SV% .918 (Confirmed)

Dallas Outlook:

The Dallas Stars are in the middle of the playoff race like the Anaheim Ducks. They currently have 72 points and are tied with the St. Louis Blues for third place in the Central Division. Tyler Seguin leads the way for Dallas with 29 goals. Alexander Radulov and Jamie Benn both have 21 goals.

Keys To The Game

The offense has cooled off a little bit for Dallas lately. They were shutout 6-0 in their game against Vancouver and they scored two goals in each of their last two games. If they can get back to scoring three or more goals a game, then they could solidify a playoff spot in the Central Division.

Dallas’ Projected Lineup:
