Comtois Headed To Drummondville
By Michael Walters
Max Comtois is headed back to his junior team the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL per Mikael Lalancette of TVA Sports.
Comtois had played in 10 games in Anaheim recording seven total points(2 G + 5 A). His on-ice rating was +3 and he averaged over 14 minutes of ice time. Since he played 10 games in the NHL, the Ducks burned the first year of his entry-level contract.
He was injured in the game against the Chicago Blackhawks on October 23rd and was placed on the injured reserve with a lower-body injury. Afterward, he was sent to San Diego on a 14-day conditioning loan and played four games with the Gulls. He had one goal and his on-ice rating was -2 while in San Diego.
Canadian junior players who are under 20 can only play in juniors or the NHL. As a result, Comtois could not stay in the AHL, so the Ducks had to decide on bringing him back to Anaheim or sending him to juniors. Comtois was only able to play in the AHL because he was on a conditioning loan.
Other Roster Moves:
Andrej Sustr was recalled from San Diego.
Joshua Mahura was reassigned to San Diego.
