Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks played back-to-back games and won both contests against Tampa Bay and Florida. Nick Ritchie has been on fire lately scoring three goals in those two games. Anaheim is currently in a three-way tie for second place in the Pacific Division and sit one point out of first place. Pontus AbergRyan Getzlaf, and Adam Henrique lead the team with six goals. Jakob Silfverberg has five goals. Getzlaf leads the team with 18 total points(6 G + 12 A).

Injury News

Patrick Eaves(back) and Cam Fowler(face) are both on the IR. Fowler had surgery on his injured cheek and his length of absence is unknown. Corey Perry(knee) and Korbinian Holzer(wrist) are on the long-term injury list. Hampus Lindholm was activated off the IR and will return to the lineup tonight.

Roster Moves

The Ducks recalled Joshua Mahura from San Diego and sent Andrej Sustr to the Gulls. Ben Street was placed on waivers yesterday and cleared them today. Kalle Kossila was also sent to San Diego just prior to the start of the game.

Carolina Outlook

The Hurricanes sit in the middle of the pack in the Metropolitan Division. They have been playing well as of late going 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. Carolina hasn’t played since Tuesday when they beat Montreal 2-1, so we’ll see tonight if they are rested or rusty. Carolina leads the league in shots on goal per game averaging 39.1. The Hurricanes will look to work the forecheck and pepper the Ducks net tonight.

Micheal Ferland leads the team with 11 goals. Sebastian Aho leads the team with 25 total points(7 G + 18 A).
