Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks are coming off a 4-2 win over the Blackhawks extending their winning streak to five games. Newly acquired Daniel Sprong scored a goal in his first game as a Duck, building a 2-0 Anaheim lead. Chicago rallied to tie the game up at two, but Anaheim pulled away in the third period. The Ducks will close out their season series against the Hurricanes tonight. Anaheim is in second place in the Pacific Division, three points behind Calgary.

Pontus Aberg leads the teams with nine goals. Ryan Getzlaf has eight goals and leads the team with 22 total points(8 G + 14 A).

Injury News

Rickard Rakell sustained an ankle injury in Anaheim’s last game. He missed yesterday’s practice and was in a walking boot. He will not play tonight according to Randy Carlyle.

Recently General Manager Bob Murray provided updates on Patrick Eaves and Cam Fowler. Eaves has been dealing with a broken rib, which also caused back spasms. He is out indefinitely. Fowler is planning to work out this weekend and hopefully start skating 7-10 days after that. He could be back in mid-January.
