Kesler To Play; Silfverberg Update
By Michael Walters
The Anaheim Ducks are set to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. According to head coach Randy Carlyle, Ryan Kesler will suit up for tonight’s game. Carlyle said that Kesler takes matching up with the Leafs forwards as a personal challenge. Kesler has been out since the Ducks loss to Detroit on January 15th. He was dealing with a hamstring issue per the Athletic’s Eric Stephens.
The talks between Silfverberg and the Anaheim Ducks have picked up lately. According to the Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun, the Ducks GM Bob Murray is looking to keep Silfverberg, who becomes a UFA this coming summer. Murray does appear to be listening to offers on other players on the team. It appears a re-tooling or rebuilding of the roster could be on the horizon for Anaheim.
