The Ducks ended their five-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche this past Sunday. Jakob Silfverberg scored his team-leading 17th goal and 100th goal of his NHL career. Cam Fowler scored his 57th goal, which is second all-time among Ducks defenseman.
Devin Shore was knocked out of the game from a hit by Ian Cole. Shore had an MRI yesterday which revealed he has a Charley horse and minor knee hyperextension. It appears he avoided a serious injury. Cole was given a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct. There was no hearing by the NHL Player Safety committee.
Ryan Kesler will play in his 1000th NHL game tonight.
Injury Updates:
Derek Grant(upper-body) and Nick Ritchie(lower-body) will both not likely play tonight.
Chad Johnson still remains on the IR.
Roster Moves:
Jacob Larsson and Sam Steel were recalled yesterday from San Diego.
Ducks Sign Benoit
Anaheim signed Simon Benoit to a three-year entry-level deal per TVA Sports Renaud Lavoie. According to CapFriendly the deal is worth $2.77 million and includes a $277,500 signing bonus.
He has played in 50 games with the Gulls this season registering 12 total points(2 G + 10 A). He is a 6’3, 192-pound left-handed defenseman. He has good size, can move the puck well, and isn’t afraid to mix it up. He has 27 penalty minutes so far this season in San Diego.

The Coyotes are currently riding a six-game winning streak and have gone 8-2-0 in their last 10 games. In their last six games, they have outscored their opponents 20 to 11. Arizona is just two points out a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Brad Richardson leads the team with 16 goals. Clayton Keller leads the team 41 total points(12 G + 29 A).
