Injury Updates From Murray
By Michael Walters
Today General Manager and Interim Head Coach Bob Murray provided several injury updates.
He has been dealing with similar muscle weakness issues that affected him at the beginning of last season. Eaves only appeared in seven games with Anaheim this season, registering zero points. He also played seven games in San Diego and had two assists. He has missed several of the recent Gulls games.
He suffered an oblique injury and continues to progress. He hasn’t played since the March 5th game against Arizona. Murray is confident that he will still be able to play a few games before the season is over. The question is whether he will play those games in Anaheim or San Diego.
He missed the last game against Winnipeg with Charley horse and should return to practice next week. He has played in 45 games for Anaheim this season registering five assists.
He is dealing with an upper-body injury. He has been working out again, but his exact return is unknown. He has played in nine games for Anaheim this season.
Murray plans to meet with Kesler and medical staff tonight. Early indication is he will be shut down from the remainder of the season. The big question is whether he will be able to play next season or will he consider retirement instead.
