Lundestrom Returns To San Diego
By Michael Walters
According to Swedish media, Isac Lundestrom has returned to San Diego. Lundestrom’s Swedish team Lulea was eliminated from the playoffs back in mid-April.
In Sweden, he played in 17 regular season games and registered 9 total points(2 G + 7 A). He also played in 10 playoff games registering 8 total points(2 G + 6 A). Last season he also played in the NHL and AHL. He had two assists in 15 games with the Anaheim Ducks. He also played in 12 games with the Gulls and recorded six assists.
The San Diego Gulls will now have Lundestrom, Max Comtois, and a healthy Max Jones for round two against Bakersfield. It’s not clear how Lundestrom will fit into the lineup for the Gulls, but it certainly gives head coach Dallas Eakins more options. The Gulls have a good chance at going all the way in the Calder Cup Playoffs with their current lineup.
