Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks returned home on Wednesday and squared off with a Buffalo team that was undefeated in regulation. The Ducks got down early 2-0 but managed to respond with five unanswered goals. Anaheim also finally scored on the power play this season. It was the most entertaining game this season as both teams engaged each other with post-whistle activities. One incident involved Nick Ritchie, who was fined $4121.86 for roughing Vladimir Sobotka.
Tonight the Ducks turn their attention to another hot team in the Carolina Hurricanes. The Ducks had another slow start against Buffalo, so hopefully, they can come out differently tonight. Anaheim used their physical play in order to turn their last game into their favor. The Ducks also scored with the man advantage on Wednesday and should have a good chance to do so again tonight since Carolina is killing off only 77.8% of their penalties.
Adam Henrique leads the team in scoring with four goals. Rickard Rakell and Jakob Silfverberg each have three goals.
The Anaheim Ducks will be wearing their orange third jerseys tonight for the second time this season.

Carolina Outlook
Those bunch of jerks are off to a very good start winning six of their first eight contests. The Hurricanes are currently on their California road trip. They beat LA 2-0 and lost to San Jose 5-2 in back-to-back games earlier this week.
Carolina has been tearing it up offensively. They have scored 27 goals, which is 7th best in the league and they average 3.38 goals per game, good for 10th in the NHL. They also like to take several shots as they average just over 35 per game, which is the fifth-highest in the league. If there is a weakness in their game, then it would have be special teams. The power play is 17.8% efficient and the penalty kill is 77.8% efficient, both ranking in the bottom half of the league.
Injury/Roster Updates:
Jordan Martinook is on the IR for 6-8 weeks with a core muscle injury.
Projected Lineup
Offense
Nino Niederreiter – Sebastian Aho – Teuvo Teravainen
Andrei Svechnikov – Jordan Staal – Brock McGinn
Ryan Dzingel – Erik Haula – Martin Necas
Warren Foegele – Lucas Wallmark – Brian Gibbons
Defense:

Joel Edmundson – Brett Pesce
Jake Gardiner – Haydn Fleury
