Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks ended their losing streak against the red hot Colorado Avalanche last night with a 5-2 victory. The Ducks built a two-goal lead in the first period and never looked back. Adam Henrique and Jakob Silfverberg each scored and lead the team with 6 goals. Max Comtois scored in back-to-back games. Ryan Miller remains perfect on the season with a 3-0-0 record.
The Ducks have no time to rest as they are back at it tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights. This will be the Ducks final stop on this road trip. There shouldn’t be too many changes to the lineup. John Gibson should get the start tonight. The Ducks do need to try to avoid taking so many penalties as Vegas is 22.7% efficient on their power play.
Injury/Team Updates:
Josh Manson has been placed on the IR and has returned to California.
Kase(upper-body) is out for tonight’s game.
The Ducks acquired defenseman Erik Gudbranson from the Penguins in exchange for LW Andreas Martinsen and a 2021 seventh-round draft pick. He logged over 22 minutes in his first game with the Ducks, recording two shots, two hits, and had a +2 on-ice rating.

Vegas Outlook
The Golden Knights have the same record as the Anaheim Ducks. Vegas just played Colorado, but unlike Anaheim, the Golden Knights lost 6-1. The Golden Knights will be playing their seventh game at home and have had mixed results going 3-3-0 so far this season.
Vegas has scored 35 goals this season, which is ninth-best in the league. They have also given up 34 goals against, so this could be a high scoring affair. Their special teams have been very good with a 22.7% efficiency on the power play and their penalty kill is second best in the league with an 89.4% success rate.
Reilly Smith leads the team with seven goals. Mark Stone has six goals.
Injury/Team Updates:
Nate Schmidt suffered a lower-body injury in the season opener and hasn’t returned since. He remains on the IR.
