Podcast: Ducks Face Adversity
By Michael Walters
The Anaheim Ducks return home after going 1-3-0 on their four-game road trip. The Ducks lost to two of their nemeses in the Nashville Predators and Vegas Golden Knights. To make matters worse the Ducks lost several players to injury on the trip.
In the game against Dallas, the Ducks lost Josh Manson and Ondrej Kase. Manson crashed into the boards, injuring his left leg so severely that he couldn’t skate off on his own power. Kase was involved in a collision at center ice sustaining an upper-body injury. In the Ducks sole victory on the trip, Hampus Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury and did not play in the game in Las Vegas.
The Ducks did acquire Erik Gudbranson to help with their blueline depth. On this episode, we discuss the recent trade, injuries, and other topics which include:
-More Trade Rumors
-Defensive Concerns
-Playing Against Perry/Cogliano
-Rough Road Trip
