Anaheim Outlook

The Anaheim Ducks return home after a quick trip to Arizona. The Ducks played a back and forth game with the Coyotes, which eventually went into overtime. For the first time this season the Ducks took part in a shootout. Ondrej Kase got the lone score for Anaheim, but it wasn’t enough as the Coyotes got two past John Gibson to win 4-3.

The Ducks have shown they can compete with some of the league’s best teams like the Islanders and St. Louis Blues. Anaheim’s issue has been showing up every night. The Ducks have had games where they played well for 40 minutes, but then poorly for the remainder of the game. Hopefully, they can find a way to be more consistent as the season progresses.

Jakob Silfverberg and Ryan Getzlaf lead the team with nine goals each.

Winnipeg Outlook

The Winnipeg Jets are currently on a two-game winning streak. They beat Columbus 4-3 at home and then started their California road trip with a 5-1 win in San Jose. The Jets have 31 points on the season and are holding down third place in the Central Division.

The Jets are 9-4-0 on the road this season and they are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. These two teams met back on October 29th, when Anaheim won 7-4. This could be another high scoring contest today.
