Practice Report: Terry Resumes Skating
By Michael Walters
Today Troy Terry was spotted skating with the team at practice per the OC Register’s Elliott Teaford. He has been out with a knee injury that he sustained in the 4-1 loss to Philadelphia on December 19th, 2019. He suffered a broken bone below his knee cap when he collided with Nicolas Aube-Kubel of the Flyers. Terry was originally projected to be out for 10 weeks but could return sooner given this development.
Terry skated with Rickard Rakell and Kiefer Sherwood, who was just recently recalled. Rakell(upper-body) has been out since he last played in the shootout victory against the New York Islanders on December 21st, 2019. Rakell was recently placed on the IR, but he could return within the next week or two.
There was also a Patrick Eaves sighting at practice per Teaford. Eaves has been seen at some of the team practices and home games throughout this season. Eaves remains on the LTIR and his contract expires at the end of the season with Anaheim. I had a chance to speak with him just prior to the season about his health and retirement.
