Anaheim Outlook

The Anaheim Ducks finish their three-game homestand tonight against the Dallas Stars. The Ducks have gone 1-1-0 in the first two games at home. Anaheim earned an exciting 5-4 shootout victory over the Nashville Predators and then lost 4-3 to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Podcast: Interview with Jordan Samuels-Thomas

The Ducks will honor Corey Perry and Andrew Cogliano tonight with two separate video tributes during the first period. Even though Perry won’t be able to play due to his suspension, he will be present with the team.

Dallas Outlook

The Stars are coming off a 2-1 win last night over the Los Angeles Kings. LA scored first, but Dallas scored twice in just under a minute of playing time to take the lead for good at 2-1. Dallas is on a five-game winning streak and has gone 7-3-0 in their last 10 games. They are currently tied for second in the Central Division.

Dallas averages 2.67 goals per game and gives up 2.40 against. Their power play is 18.6% efficient and their penalty kill is 83.1% efficient, which is 5th best in the NHL.

Roope Hintz leads the team in scoring with 14 goals.

The Stars will be without Perry tonight as he was suspended five games for his hit on Ryan Ellis at the Winter Classic.
