Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks played the Vancouver Canucks yesterday in a bounce-back performance after being shutout at home against Calgary. Anaheim got out to an early 2-0 lead and never looked back in the contest. The highlight of the game came at the end of the second period. Tyler Myers didn’t like a check by Max Jones on Elias Pettersson. Myers checked Jones and also dropped the gloves as Jakob Silfverberg approached him. Then, out of nowhere, Josh Manson came flying in and threw the giant Myers down to the ice. The Ducks went on to win 5-1.
Today the Ducks will get a chance to redeem themselves against the Calgary Flames, who just shutout Anaheim 6-0 at Honda Center last week. The Ducks have played the Flames twice this season and have lost both games.
Adam Henrique leads the team with 20 goals.
Team News:
This past weekend the Ducks signed Nicolas Deslauriers to a two-year extension worth $2 million.
