Freeway Face-Off: Legends Edition

The Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings have announced that they will be both be partnering with FOX Sports West in the Freeway Face-Off: Legends Edition.

This Freeway Face-Off will be an EA SPORTS NHL 20 simulation game that will include roster players from the Ducks and Kings. There will also be legendary players from the past per both team press releases.

On Monday, April 13th, fans of each time will be able to vote on the Legends players who will play on their respective teams. Anaheim’s candidates in next week’s vote include players such as Paul Kariya, Scott Niedermayer, and Teemu Selanne. LA’s candidates include Wayne Gretzky, Marcel Dionne, and Luc Robitaille.

Both Ducks and Kings broadcasters will participate in the event. John Ahlers, Brian Hayward, Kent French, and Aly Lozoff will represent the Ducks. Jim Fox, Alex Faust, Patrick O’Neal, and Carrlyn Bathe will provide the Kings commentary.

This will be on FOX Sports West/Prime Ticket and FOX Sports San Diego on Friday, April 17th at 7 PM PT. This event is presented by Mercury Insurance.

It’s refreshing to see the Anaheim Ducks organization continue to engage the fans in various ways through social media, fan polls, and online gaming.

The organization has also helped their fans and employees financially in this unprecedented time. Owners Henry and Susan Samueli are continuing to pay part-time employees until June and the organization has delayed ticket payments until June as well.
