The Ducks were on an 8 game winning streak, but have now lost their last three games. Anaheim played two close games, losing to Carolina 2-1 and then losing 3-2 to Nashville. In their last game, the Ducks lost 5-2 to the Avalanche. The Ducks are currently in 4th place in the Pacific Division.

Anaheim continues to thrive on special teams. The Ducks are 27.9% efficient on the power play, which ranks 4th in the league. Their penalty kill is 85.7% efficient, which is 9th in the NHL.

Troy Terry leads the team in scoring with 12 goals.

Ottawa Outlook

The Senators are currently on a three game losing streak just like the Ducks. Ottawa has been dealing with some COVID issues and had to reschedule some of their recent games. Overall it’s been a rough season for the Senators, who sit in last place in the Atlantic Division with 9 points.

Their power play converts 19.0% of the time, which ranks 16th in the NHL. And on the penalty kill they are 74.5%, which ranks 28th in the league.

The Senators will be going with Anton Forsberg to start in net for this game. Filip Gustavsson will be the backup and Matt Murray is going to be a healthy scratch. Murray’s contract is for $6.25 million until the 2023-24 season and he has a modified no trade clause. It will be interesting to see how the goalie situation unfolds in Ottawa.

Joshua Norris leads the team in scoring with 8 goals.
