Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks are coming of a wild 6-5 win over the Vegas Golden Knights. Anaheim again jumped out to a 4-1 lead, but had difficulty holding on to it. Vegas came back strong in the third period, but the Ducks were eventually able to win by one goal. Anaheim has won two in a row and is currently in 3rd place in the Pacific Division.

Anaheim continues to thrive on special teams. The Ducks are 27.1% efficient on the power play, which ranks 3rd in the league. Their penalty kill is 84.9% efficient, which is 8th in the NHL.

Troy Terry leads the team in scoring with 15 goals.

Vinni Lettieri and Buddy Robinson were reassigned to San Diego.

Injury News:

Ryan Getzlaf has a lower body injury and is questionable tonight.

Max Comtois had surgery to remove a bone in his hand. He is on the IR and will be out for about 6 weeks.

Max Jones had surgery to repair a pectoralis major tendon tear and will be out for 4-6 months.

Calgary Outlook

The Flames played the Los Angeles Kings last night and beat them 3-2. Calgary built a 3-1 lead in the second period and held on for the win. The Flames are in first place in the Pacific Division and have gone 7-1-2 in their last 10 games.

The Flames have played well on special teams like the Ducks. They convert 26.2% of the time with the extra man, which ranks 5th in the NHL.  On the penalty kill they are 87.3% efficient, good for 5th in the NHL. Calgary scores on average 3.22 goals per game, which is the 8th best in the NHL. They have the best goals against average only giving up 1.96 goals agains per contest.
