The Ducks started off this season with a win in dramatic fashion. Troy Terry got the scoring started in the opening moments of the game, but then Seattle took over and held a 4-2 lead in the third period. The Ducks were able to rally to tie the game and force overtime. In the extra session, Terry would strike again with a backhand goal for the game winner. John Gibson earned an assist on the goal as he made a great outlet pass to spring Terry down the ice.
Noah Warren was reassigned to his junior team in Canada.
Urho Vaakanainen suffered an upper-body injury when he slammed into the boards during a preseason game against the San Jose Sharks. It’s unknown when he will be able to return.
Sam Carrick had hip surgery during the off season. He will start skating this month and hopefully could return by the end of the October.
John Moore is also on the IR with an undisclosed injury.
John Gibson 1-0-0 GAA 3.94 SV% .917 (Confirmed)

The Islanders dropped their first game of the season to Florida. The Panthers scored first and then Noah Dobson scored to tie the game up early in the third period. Florida answered back in 30 seconds and then added a goal late in the game to win 3-1. New York will look to get on track and try to earn their first win against Anaheim tonight.
Ilya Sorokin 0-1-0 GAA 2.05 SV% .929 (Unconfirmed)
