The Anaheim Ducks closed out their season and ended up securing the first draft lottery spot. The day after the season was over, General Manager Pat Verbeek did not renew Head Coach Dallas Eakins contract. Roy Sommer, who coached the Gulls this past season, also retired and was just replaced with Matt McIlvane.
