Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks started a four game road trip in Montreal. Newly acquired Jacob Trouba made his debut and played well. Montreal scored in the opening minutes of the game on the power play. Troy Terry scored the next two goals to give the Ducks a one goal lead briefly. Montreal tied it up shortly after Terry’s second goal in the middle frame. The game needed bonus hockey and the Canadiens would prevail in the shootout.
This will be the second and final meeting between these two teams this season. The Ducks beat the Senators back on December first in a thrilling 4-3 shootout win. Anaheim scored first and then the teams alternated goals until they reached a 3-3 regulation tie. In the shootout, Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras scored to lift the Ducks to a 4-3 win.
