The Ducks had a chance to jump in the standings last Saturday against Chicago, but ended up losing 6-3. Anaheim was down 3-2 heading into the third period, but then the Blackhawks scored three times in a row and never looked back. It was a missed opportunity for the Ducks to inch closer to a wild card spot.
