Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks are currently 2-1-1 on this road trip. In the first game on the trip, they lost to Chicago 2-1 in overtime. In the next game they took down Nashville 5-2. Ross Johnston recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick with a goal, two assists, and a fight.

They then won a wild contest 7-5 over Boston. Mikael Granlund had a career night recording five total points(2 G + 3 A). In their last contest Anaheim came back from a 3-1 deficit against Tampa Bay, but still lost 4-3. Granlund sustained a lower-body injury at the end of the first period and did not finish the game.

If the Ducks score more than one goal, then they are 4-1-0 this season. When they only score once, then they are 0-2-1. The Ducks have been without Chris Kreider the last two games. Anaheim is 1-for-10 on the man advantage without Kreider. The Ducks are 5-for-20 with Kreider on the power play.

Chris Kreider is still out due to an illness.

Radko Gudas sustained a lower-body injury in the game against Boston and is out tonight.

Mikael Granlund was injured in the last contest against Tampa Bay. He is out tonight with a lower-body injury.

Coulson Pitre was activated from the injured non-roster listed and was assigned to the Tulsa Oilers.

Florida Outlook 

It’s been an interesting start to the season for Florida with injuries to key players like Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk. The Panthers started the season with three straight wins, but then lost four in a row. When Florida scores three or more goals they are 4-1-0. When they scored 2 or less then they are 1-4-0.
