Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks returned home and faced the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. Anaheim had a 4-1 lead after two periods and a 5-2 lead with about 8 minutes to go, but couldn’t secure the two points. The Canucks scored three times to force overtime. In the extra session they scored on the power play to complete the comeback.
Anaheim then hosted the Buffalo Sabres in a shootout type game. The Ducks jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first period, but the Sabres tied it up before the opening period was over. Buffalo then scored the next four goals to take a 7-3 lead. Anaheim fought back scoring three times, but ran out of race track losing 7-6.
It’s been a rough streak for the Ducks who have gone 1-6-1 since starting the season 4-1-0.

Team Injuries/News:
In a surprise move, Laurent Brossoit was called up yesterday and will start in net for Anaheim. Head Coach Joel Quenneville said “It’s an opportunity.” Neither Lukas Dostal or Ville Husso are injured, so it appears Coach Q is sending a message to his goalies and team about their lackluster defensive play. The Ducks have given up 13 goals in just the last two games.
Nick Jensen was placed on waivers yesterday. He cleared waivers today and was reassigned to San Diego.
Nikita Klepov was reassigned to Saginaw of the OHL.
Pavel Mintyukov activated off IR. He will play tonight.
Ian Moore (lower-body) practiced with the team yesterday.
Troy Terry (hip) is expected to return in mid-November according to Emily Kaplan. He practice in full with the team yesterday.
Ryan Poehling (lower-body) was placed on the IR. He has an MCL sprain and will be out 6-8 weeks.
