By Victor Cabrera
The Lightning hosted the Senators as the Bolts aimed for a five game winning streak. The big news was Victor Hedman returned into the line up after his injury. However Anton Stralman was out listed day to day, as well as Adam Erne who is also listed day to day. Let’s break down the game period by period

First Coburn gave the Lightning a 3-2 lead, then Mathieu Joseph scored his second of the night for a 4-2 lead after the second period.
Third Period
The final frame started fast as well with rookie sensation Brady Tkachuk scoring 50 seconds into the period. Later in the third the Senators tied the game scoring on a power play making it 4-4. The momentum continued with Ryan Dzingel scoring shortly after for Ottawa to gain the lead. In the closing seconds of the game Ottawa scored on a power play sealing a 6-4 win.
Overview
In this matchup against the Senators the Lightning had a perfect second and the worst period imaginable in the third. Both teams managed to score four unanswered goals. The penalty kill really needs work it’s been a difference maker in close games. Mathieu Joseph has been stellar and the Bolts continue to get secondary scoring as the season goes along. If the team cleans up some areas of their game Tampa will be very difficult to beat but the next game will be a chance to be better.
