Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks square off with the Kings for the fifth time this season. Anaheim will face them fourth times in the next week to complete the Freeway Face-Off series. Anaheim is currently on a four game losing streak. The only question remaining this season for Anaheim is what position will they end up in for the draft lottery.

Team News

David Backes was reassigned to the taxi squad. It appeared that he may have played his final game in Anaheim last Saturday. He waved to his family in the stands and was given some congratulatory hugs by teammates. He spoke to the media Sunday and it sounds like he will be retiring after this season.

Trevor Zegras and Simon Benoit were recalled to the taxi squad. Zebras played in the Gulls game last night, so he will likely not play tonight, but will play later this week.

Hunter Drew and Maxim Golod were reassigned to the Gulls.

Adam Henrique was added to the league COVID protocol list, so he will not play tonight.

Several Ducks players names were being discussed as possibly being moved by the trade deadline. The big name players remained and the Ducks ended up making two smaller trades. Ben Hutton was sent to Toronto and Jani Hakanpaa was traded to Carolina.
