Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks are in the middle of a road trip and have gone 1-1-0 so far. The Ducks beat the Flames 3-2 in OT and lost to the Oilers in a high flying game 6-5.

This is the second meeting between the Ducks and Jets. Anaheim won the first contest 4-1. During that contest Andrew Copp crashed into John Gibson, which caused him to miss some time with a lower body injury. It will be interesting to see if anyone from the Ducks engages Copp tonight.

Kevin Shattenkirk leads the team in scoring with three goals.

Injury News:

Mason McTavish(lower-body) received a hard check along the boards during the second period against Calgary and did not return in the game. He was placed on the IR.

Max Jones(upper body) left the game early in the third period against Calgary as he appeared to be favoring his left arm while being engaged in front of the net. He was also placed on the IR.

Sam Carrick and Sonny Milano were recalled from San Diego

After losing to the Ducks, the Jets lost their next two games. They were edged by the Sharks 4-3 and then lost 6-5 in overtime to the Wild.

The Jets have been averaging three goals per game, but they have giving up 4.67 against. Winnipeg has struggled with their special teams play. Their power play is only 14.3% efficient and their penalty kill is 53.3% efficient, which ranks 30th in the league.

Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele will both be scratch tonight. They both tested positive for COVID. The Jets will go with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen as a result.
