Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks are coming off a two losses where they rallied down from three goals against Buffalo Sabres and the Vegas Golden Knights. Anaheim was down 3-0 and rallied to tie the game against Buffalo, but eventually lost in overtime. Against Vegas they were down 4-1 and were able to score three times in five minutes to force overtime. The Ducks eventually lost in the shootout.
The Ducks have been competitive in their games this season and fun to watch despite losing. They just need to find ways to win games instead of losing them.
Anaheim continues to thrive on special teams. The Ducks are 24.0% efficient on the power play, which ranks 11th in the league. Their penalty kill is 82.1% efficient, which ranks 16th in the NHL.
Rickard Rakell leads the team in scoring with four goals.

Mason McTavish(ankle) was sent to San Diego on a conditioning loan.
Vinni Lettieri and Sam Carrick were recalled from San Diego.
Injury News:
Jakob Silfverberg will be out tonight due to being placed in the NHL COVID protocol.
Rickard Rakell left the game against Buffalo holding his left arm and didn’t finish the game. He was placed on the IR with an upper-body injury. He has a shoulder injury and is considered week-to-week.
Max Jones(upper body) left the game early in the third period against Calgary as he appeared to be favoring his left arm while being engaged in front of the net. He was also placed on the IR. He had surgery to repair a pectoralis major tendon tear and will be out for 4-6 months.

The Canadiens have gotten off to a slow start this season losing their first five games. They have just two wins in eight games. One issue has been scoring for Montreal. They have only scored more than one goal in two of their games.
