Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks have won two games in a row. They had an emotional win over the Montreal Canadiens. Anaheim was able to break their six game losing streak, but the bigger story was Ryan Getzlaf. The captain earned an assist on Troy Terry‘s goal, which was his 989th career NHL point with the Anaheim Ducks. He passed Teemu Selanne‘s previous record of 988 points with Anaheim.

Anaheim followed up the game against Montreal, with a 4-0 win over the New Jersey Devils. The Ducks scored a few early goals on the power play and never looked back. Trevor Zegras was tripped by P.K. Subban from behind, who used a slew foot to take Zegras down. Subban was fined from the league in the amount of $15,000.

Anaheim continues to thrive on special teams. The Ducks are 26.3% efficient on the power play, which ranks 5th in the league. Their penalty kill is 83.8% efficient, which ranks 13th in the NHL.

Troy Terry leads the team in scoring with seven goals.

Roster Moves:

Mason McTavish(ankle) was sent to San Diego on a conditioning loan.

Simon Benoit has been reassigned to San Diego.

Lukas Dostal was recalled from San Diego.

Injury News:

Rickard Rakell left the game against Buffalo holding his left arm and didn’t finish the game. He was placed on the IR with a shoulder injury and is considered week-to-week.
