Anaheim Outlook
In the last 48 hours since Anaheim’s last game, General Manager Bob Murray was first placed on administrative leave and then resigned yesterday. An investigation discovered there was issues of improper professional conduct and alcohol concerns surrounding Murray. Jeff Solomon has taken over as interim General Manager.
The Ducks are on a roll winning their last five games in a row. They beat Montreal, New Jersey, Arizona, and St. Louis at home. Anaheim then went on the road and beat Vancouver in a thriller that needed overtime. The Ducks have outscored their opponents 18-6 during that time span. This is the longest winning streak the Ducks have had with Dallas Eakins as the head coach.
Anaheim continues to thrive on special teams. The Ducks are 27.1% efficient on the power play, which ranks 4th in the league. Their penalty kill is 85.7% efficient, which ranks 11th in the NHL.
Troy Terry leads the team in scoring with nine goals and has a league leading 12 game point streak.
