Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks are in the midst of a slide having lost their last three games after the extended holiday break. In their last game, Anaheim started out well against Colorado by building a 2-0 lead, but couldn’t hang on. Max Comtois returned to action after coming off the COVID protocol list, but Ryan Getzlaf was added to it. Cam Fowler also returned and scored a goal, but it wasn’t enough against the Avs.
The Ducks cancelled practice yesterday when Derek Grant and Nicolas Deslauriers both tested positive for COVID. Trevor Zegras is still on the list and won’t be available tonight either.
Anaheim continues to thrive on special teams. The Ducks are 26.9% efficient on the power play, which ranks 4th in the league. Their penalty kill is 85.4% efficient, which is tied for 3rd in the NHL.
Troy Terry leads the team in scoring with 18 goals.

Sam Carrick was not on ice for the morning skate and is out for tonight(Illness, non-COVID).
Ryan Getzlaf was placed in the COVID protocol on January 1st. Grant and Deslauriers were also put in the protocol on January 3rd.
Josh Mahura remains on the IR with an upper-body injury. He is listed as week-to-week.
Adam Henrique has an lower-body injury and remains on the IR. He has been skating on his own, but the timeline for his return is unknown.
Max Jones had surgery to repair a pectoralis major tendon tear and will be out for 4-6 months. He is also in the COVID protocol per Head Coach Dallas Eakins.
