Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks continue their road trip tonight against the New Jersey Devils. Anaheim played last night and lost to the New York Rangers 6-4. Head coach Dallas Eakins continues to shuffle the forward lines and will likely make more adjustments for tonight’s game.

Anaheim has been averaging 43 shots on goal against, while registering 24 in their favor. The Ducks have struggled on the penalty kill(53.9% efficiency), but have had success on the power play(25% efficiency). The team has been averaging 3.33 goals per game, but has also been giving up 5.67 against. It’s early in the season as the Ducks try to work some of the kinks out of their game.

Troy Terry leads the Ducks in scoring with 6 total points(3 G + 3 A).

Injury News:

John Gibson didn’t finish the game last night, but will be the backup tonight. He appears to be dealing with an upper-body injury(shoulder).

Jakob Silfverberg was scratched last night since he was battling the flu.

Urho Vaakanainen suffered an upper-body injury when he slammed into the boards during a preseason game against the San Jose Sharks. It’s unknown when he will be able to return.

Sam Carrick had hip surgery during the off season. He will start skating this month and hopefully could return by the end of the October.

John Moore is also on the IR with an undisclosed injury.
