Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks hit the road for a four game trip with the first stop in Nashville. Anaheim is coming off a 5-4 loss to the Seattle Kraken. The Ducks got down by two goals multiple times and were able to rally to tie things up at four, but a late goal by the Kraken gave them the win. John Gibson had to leave the game early as he collided with Kevin Shattenkirk during the final goal.

The team has been averaging 2.55 goals per game, but has also been giving up 4.23 against. The Ducks have struggled on special teams this season. They are 15.2% efficient with the extra man and 65.4% efficient on the penalty kill, both ranking at the bottom of the league. Anaheim also gives up on average 37 shots per game which is the most in the league. They average just under 30 shots on goal per game(29.9).

Urho Vaakanainen (upper-body) was recalled to Anaheim over the weekend after being on a conditioning loan in San Diego. He will play tonight

John Klingberg (lower-body) did not play on Friday and Sunday.

Max Comtois (lower-body injury) was placed on the IR.

Nashville Outlook 

The Predators had their two weekend games cancelled due to flooding in Bridgestone Arena. As of now, all indications are the game is on for tonight. Nashville has won four of it’s last five games at home. They are currently in sixth place in the Central Division.

They are currently averaging 2.55 goals a game which ranks 29th in the league. They give up 3.20 goals against, which is ranks 18th. They have had some success on the power play with a 16.7% efficiency. The penalty kill has been operating at a 80.6% efficiency.

Filip Forsberg leads the team in total points with 19 (7 G + 12 A).
