Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks hit the road for a four game trip with the first stop in Nashville. Anaheim battled to a 1-1 regulation tie and then lost in overtime 2-1. It was the first overtime loss of the season for the Ducks. John Gibson returned despite having to leave the game prior early and played outstanding. Urho Vaakanainen made his season debut after being out since being injured in preseason.

The team has been averaging 2.48 goals per game, but has also been giving up 4.13 against. The Ducks have struggled on special teams this season. They are 15.2% efficient with the extra man and 66.3% efficient on the penalty kill, both ranking at the bottom of the league. Anaheim also gives up on average 37.2 shots per game which is the most in the league. They average around 30 shots on goal per game(30.3).

Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 24 total points(10 G + 14 A).

John Klingberg (lower-body) has not played in the last three days and is currently not on the road trip with the team.

Dallas Outlook 

The Stars just completed a brief two game road trip. They lost to Colorado 4-1 and then beat St. Louis by the same score. They start a five game homestand tonight against the Ducks. They have gone 5-2-3 in their last 10 games and currently sit in first place in the Central Division.

They are currently averaging 3.83 goals a game which ranks second best in the league. They give up 2.83 goals against, which is ranks 10th. They have been outstanding on the power play with a 28.8% efficiency. The penalty kill has been operating at a 83.3% efficiency.

Jason Robertson leads the team in total points with 36 (19 G + 17 A).
