Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Ottawa Senators yesterday. Lukas Dostal got his first start of this season and made 35 saves in the losing effort. Anaheim had a few power play chances and put 32 shots on goal, but they couldn’t buy a goal and were shutout as a result.

The Ducks were going to go with a 12-6 lineup, but Max Jones (upper-body injury) was unable to go after warmups. The Ducks went with a 11-7 lineup as Nathan Beaulieu drew in.

The team has been averaging 2.34 goals per game, but has also been giving up 4.17 against. The Ducks have struggled on special teams this season. They are 14.5% efficient with the extra man and 66.0% efficient on the penalty kill, both ranking at the bottom of the league. Anaheim also gives up on average 37.5 shots per game which is the most in the league. They average around 30 shots on goal per game(30.1).

Troy Terry leads the Ducks with 27 total points(11 G + 16 A).

Injury News:

Anthony Stolarz has a lower body injury and did not travel with the team.

Isac Lundestrom has a fractured finger and will be out for six weeks. He has been placed on the IR.

Derek Grant (lower-body) is questionable to play tonight.

Toronto Outlook 

The Maple Leafs are currently on a three game winning streak and has outscored their opponents 14 to 4 in those contests. They beat Dallas 4-0, Los Angeles 5-0, and then edged Calgary 5-4 in overtime. Toronto has gone 8-0-2 in their last 10 games and are in second place in the Atlantic Division.
