Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks are coming off a 2-1 loss at the hands of the Vancouver Canucks. Anaheim couldn’t get much going early on in the game and got down 2-0. The Ducks were able to score late in the third to make things interesting, but they couldn’t get the game tying goal.

The team has been averaging 2.57 goals per game, but has also been giving up 4.00 against. They are 15.9% efficient with the extra man and 72.7% efficient on the penalty kill. Anaheim also gives up on average 39.1 shots per game which is the most in the league. They average 28.8 shots on goal.

Trevor Zegras leads the Ducks with 58 total points(22 G + 36 A).

Roster Moves:

Nikita Nesterenko signed a two year entry-level deal and he has been practicing with the team. He will play tonight according to Head Coach Dallas Eakins.

Injury News:

Jamie Drysdale skated at today’s practice.

Anthony Stolarz had knee surgery this past Tuesday. The estimated recovery time is 6-8 weeks.

Calgary Outlook 

The Flames got blown out by the LA Kings last night by a final of 8 to 2. The Kings jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the end of the first period and never looked back.  Calgary has lost their last two games and has gone 4-4-2 in their last 10 games. They are currently for points behind Winnipeg for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference.

Calgary averages 3.11 goals per game and they give up 3.11 against. They have been 19.6% efficient on the power play and 81.8% efficient on the penalty kill.
