Lundeström Suffers Off-Season Injury
By Michael Walters
Anaheim Ducks forward Isac Lundestrom recently sustained an Achilles tendon injury. According to the NSD news website, he suffered the injury during training about three weeks ago and had surgery performed. He is going to need rehab for approximately six months. Lundestrom had 14 total points (4 G + 10 A) in 61 games with the Ducks last season. His contract expires at the end of the 2023-24 season, in which he will be an RFA at that time. The Anaheim Ducks later confirmed Lundestrom’s injury.
RFAs Still Unsigned
Jamie Drysdale and Trevor Zegras still have not had their contract extensions yet. Troy Terry and the Ducks agreed to a 7 year deal worth $49 million (AAV $7 million). He has a 10 team no trade list for years 3 through 7 of the deal. He will be a UFA in 2030.
