Anaheim Outlook

The Anaheim Ducks won their season opener last night 2-0 over the San Jose Sharks. The teams battled to a scoreless tie through two periods, but Isac Lundestrom broke through with a goal halfway through the third period. Anaheim held a 1-0 lead late in the contest and Trevor Zegras scored an empty net goal to make it a 2-0 final.

The Ducks will look to improve their power play, which went 0-for-5 in the season opener. It’s not clear if Lukas Dostal will get the start again tonight or if newcomer James Reimer will be between the pipes.

Team/Injury News:

Jackson LaCombe did not play last night due to not feeling well. He could draw in tonight.

John Gibson (appendix) has been riding the exercise bike and could start skating this weekend.
