Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks won their season opener last night 2-0 over the San Jose Sharks. The teams battled to a scoreless tie through two periods, but Isac Lundestrom broke through with a goal halfway through the third period. Anaheim held a 1-0 lead late in the contest and Trevor Zegras scored an empty net goal to make it a 2-0 final.
The Ducks then followed up the season opener with a 3-1 loss to Vegas the following night. Anaheim battled to a 1-1 tie leading up to the third period, but Vegas scored twice in the final period to pull away and win.
An early concern for Anaheim is their power play. They have gone 0-for-6 with the extra man. They have been excellent shorthanded killing off six out of seven penalty kills, good for 85.7%. The Ducks have been solid defensively blocking 33 shots in their first two contests. The Ducks have been decent during even strength posting a CF% of 49.21% and a FF% of 46.81%.

Jackson LaCombe did not play in the first two games due to feeling ill.
