Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks went 1-2-1 on their road trip. Anaheim first lost to the New York Rangers 2-1. A controversial goal was the difference. The game winning goal appeared to be kicked in, but the referees allowed it. In the next contest, the Ducks started out playing well, but then gave up four goals in the second period and lost 6-2.
Anaheim’s lone win came against the New York Islanders. The Ducks got two power play goals to build a 2-0 lead and ended up winning 3-1. They finished the trip in Pittsburgh and lost 2-1. The Ducks were leading 1-0 at the start of the third period, but Sidney Crosby scored once in the third and then again in overtime to win.

Chicago Outlook
The Blackhawks took down the Los Angeles Kings last night. The Kings build a 2-0 lead through two periods. The Blackhawks tied things up early in the third period with goals by Nick Foligno and Craig Smith. LA went ahead with about eight minutes to go with a goal by Phillip Danault. Chicago pulled their goal in the final moments of the game and Tyler Bertuzzi tied the game with just 31 seconds to go.
Neither team scored in the overtime session. In the shootout, all three Chicago players scored to secure two points and the win. Solid road win for Chicago who went from never losing in regulation to pulling out the win in the shootout.
