Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks are currently on a six game homestand. They lost the first three games to Chicago 4-2, Vancouver 5-1, and Minnesota 5-2. They did earn a 4-2 win on Sunday against Columbus. Anaheim got goals from Brett Leason, Jackson LaCombe, Leo Carlsson, and Isac Lundestrom. John Gibson made his season debut and was excellent in net.
Anaheim played the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday. The Ducks got the early 1-0 lead, but the Golden Knights scored the next three goals. Anaheim got a goal in the final seconds of the game, but still lost 3-2. The Ducks are 3-5-0 at home this season.

Robby Fabbri had surgery on his meniscus this morning and is expected to be out six weeks per Helene St. James.
Cam Fowler (upper-body) was placed on the IR this week and is expected to be out 2-4 weeks.
Mason McTavish (upper-body) is day-to-day and will not play tonight.
Urho Vaakanainen sustained an upper-body injury in Wednesday’s game and won’t play tonight.

Detroit Outlook
The Red Wings are currently on a four game road trip. They started out with a 3-2 overtime win against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Detroit built a 2-0 lead in the second period, which was quickly wiped away by two Pittsburgh goals in the same period. Simon Edvinsson then scored the game winner in OT. After tonight, Detroit will play Los Angeles and then San Jose to finish the trip. The Red Wings are 4-3-0 on the road this season.
