Anaheim Outlook
The Ducks started out on the road trip in St. Louis and had a rough time. Anaheim got down 4-0 early in the first period and couldn’t recover. It was 4-1 at the end of the first and then 6-2 at the end of the second period. The Ducks ultimately lost by the same score.
Cutter Gauthier returns to Philadelphia since his trade just over one year ago. He was asked about playing in Philly and said, “I’m anticipating probably a lot of boos. They’re probably not the happiest fans with me.” The Ducks hosted the Flyers on December 28th, 2024 and lost 3-1. This will be the second and final meeting of the season.

The Flyers have lost four games in a row. Philadelphia lost to 5-2 to Vegas, 4-1 to Dallas, and also dropped a pair of games both by a 3-2 final to Toronto. Philly did get one point in the first game against Toronto as they lost in overtime.
The Flyers are 8-9-1 at home this season and are currently in fifth place in the Central Division.
