The Ducks started their road trip out in Calgary and lost 4-1. Anaheim were officially miss the playoffs since the 2017-18 season. John Gibson was injured at the end of the second period and did not finish the contest.

The Canucks are currently on a three game losing streak and are seeing their playoff hopes slip away. They lost 7-6 to Columbus in a shootout, then lost 3-1 to Winnipeg and were also shutout 5-0 against Seattle.

Vancouver is 15-14-7 at home this season and is currently eight points behind Minnesota for the final wild card in the Western Conference.
