Anaheim Outlook

The Ducks finished the regular season in third place right behind the Oilers. The two meet in the first round with Edmonton having home ice advantage. The Oilers won the regular season series 2-1-0. Some keys to this game and the series for Anaheim will be getting off to a good start in the first period, slowing down the Oilers offense, and staying out of the penalty box. Edmonton Outlook

The Oilers will host the Ducks for game 1 and 2. Edmonton will look to get off to a fast start. They averaged just over five goals a game in the regular season games against Anaheim. Some of their keys for this series will be to use their speed to create odd man rushes and get the Ducks into penalty trouble. They also want to get in on the forecheck and wear the Anaheim defense down early on.
