Anaheim Outlook
The Anaheim Ducks have started the season with two road wins against the San Jose Sharks and Arizona Coyotes. The Ducks have leaned heavily on their defense and John Gibson, who has stopped 72 of 74 shots he has faced. Anaheim’s forwards have generated just 35 shots through two contests. Maxime Comtois has been leading the way on offense with a goal in each game. The Ducks will look to jump on the Red Wings early as they played the Kings last night.
The Ducks placed Pontus Aberg on waivers yesterday and he cleared them today per Chris Johnston of Sportsnet. He played in the Ducks home opener, but not the contest against Arizona. Ryan Getzlaf was unable to finish the game against the Coyotes on Saturday as he appeared to injure his leg. He did not practice yesterday or today. It appears Isac Lundestrom will make his NHL debut tonight. Below is what the lineup could look like based on yesterday’s and this morning’s practice.

They were able to get two goals while on the power play. In their first two games, the Red Wings have one even-strength goal and three power play goals. They will look to get the Ducks in penalty trouble tonight to give their power play more chances to score.
